  1. @pauho Here’s that issue, by the way, and the “Set as default” checkbox: https://github.com/swentel/indigenous-android/issues/396#issuecomment-669400541.Again, if you glanced over it, it’s still possible to get your previously added account to show up (and make it default), but the whole process is rather counter-intuitive.
    Error 403 – Can’t read configuration, can’t read subscriptions (WP only) · Issue #396 · swentel/indigenous-android

  2. @pauho If you somehow _are_ authenticated OK but still on the “Anonymous Account,” it could be that a visit to “Main Menu > Accounts,” and clicking the “Add Account” icon (top right) and subsequently tapping the “Set Default Account” button shows a dialog from which you can then, finally, select your account. _Then_, it should show your feeds, etc.

  3. @jan I think I need to go back to my web provider – I’ve now tried a variety of combinations (different devices, microsub servers, and login methods). Still can’t comprehend why Indigenous acts differently that Monocle/Together.

  4. @pauho I seem to remember that if you forget to tick the “Make this account default after signing in” or something checkbox—it’s really easy to miss—it won’t actually show when you open the app, even though it’s there.

That is strange. It should work pretty much exactly like Monocle, and let you post a whole bunch of different types of posts. When you add a new (“IndieWeb”) account, do you get sent to your auth method of choice—your WordPress installation, most likely? Try refreshing, or even removing and re-adding your account? Just in case something changed on your end?

    • Yes, that’s what I thought. I’ve tried a few things (including your suggestions), but none of them have help – purging the app’s cache, reinstalling, logging in by adding an account and by adding end points + token manually, removing excess IndieAuth tokens on WordPress. It’s so weird.

And yet Together and Monocle both me login (via WordPress auth), post and read using my microsub channels no problem.

I think I’m just going to use web apps for the moment – perhaps the problem will fix itself, or the solution will come to me in a blinding flash!
