Discovering an Island in the Heart of Brussels

@paul As a 20 year resident of this chaotic realm, you’re completely right about the amount of green, the ratio over the whole region. Yet, in the poverty croissant/banana there is very little green. And there is a high population density. This area is concentrated around the pentagonal shape of the inner ring, 1000 Brussels centre, meeting lower Saint-Gilles, Anderlecht, Molenbeek, Laken, Schaarbeek & Saint-Josse. The amount of green is directly connected to the amount of wealth.Not saying there are no poor people outside of this area, but.. Just trying to create some context because actually that’s where I’ve been living – and still live.. It’s good to celebrate, but there’s still quite some work to be doneWhereabouts are you situated?
